Pulsics Leadership
Kan Li
Kan is the Principal Investigator for the Pulsics NSF SBIR project. He started as an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Toronto's Ultrafast Photonics Laboratory. He co-invented several innovations in Machine Vision and Process Automation while interning at ArcelorMittal. He has an M.S. degree in Digital Communications and Information Theory from the University of Hawaii. He worked on three DARPA research projects as a Ph.D. student and Postdoc Associate at UF's Computational NeuroEngineering Laboratory (CNEL), prior to starting Pulsics.
Jose C. Principe
Jose is a Distinguished Professor and Eckis Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida. He is the Founder and Director of the Computational NeuroEngineering Laboratory (CNEL). Jose is a Fellow of the IEEE, the AIMBE, and the IAMBE. He is a former member of the Advisory Science Board of the FDA. He received the Neural Network Pioneer Award from the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, the Gabor Award from the International Neural Network Society, and the Career Achievement Award from the IEEE Biomedical Engineering Society for his contributions.
